AKC Grand Champion Legacy’s Oh Happy Day - “Levi”
Levi was my first German Pinscher, who I got as a “pet quality” puppy, because I knew nothing about dog shows or any dog activities. I just wanted a German Pinscher as a companion. Little did I know the journey that Levi and I would be taking.
In my attempt to see other German Pinschers, I went to a dog show and met other owners, who encouraged me to show Levi. Excited about learning a new activity, I did my research and learned how to show in conformation.
At Levi’s first show in April 2010 at just 7 months old, he competed against adult dogs and won Best of Breed both days, getting both his majors that weekend! I was instantly hooked into the world of dog shows! Levi got his AKC Championship and Grand Championship before the 2 years old and became the #3 German Pinscher in Breed Standing for 2011.
One of Levi’s biggest moments was when he got an AKC Working Group 4 placement at the Burbank Kennel Club Shows, which earned him a #4 in All-Breed Standings for 2011. Levi has been the only Owner-Handled German Pinscher who has achieved a group placement in Southern CA, which is one of the most competitive areas to show in the U.S.
My involvement with German Pinschers all started with Levi and it started with a bang! Levi will always be in my heart and because of all the joyful experiences he has given me, I couldn’t think of a more fitting name of “Levi German Pinschers” for my new chapter in promoting this wonderful breed.
