I didn’t grow up with dogs and it wasn’t until 2007 when I got my first dog, Miko, who was a Miniature Pinscher. Miko was the one who introduced me to all the joys of having man’s best friend by your side very day. I was so excited to learn about everything I could about Min Pins. As I learned about the history of Min Pins, I discovered the German Pinscher and thought to myself, “Wow! I want one of those!”
In November 2009, I got my first German Pinscher, Levi, who I am naming my kennel after. I describe my journey with Levi in the “Tribute To Levi” section so please take a look!
Levi and I learned about the world of dog shows together. Thankfully, there were a handful of German Pinscher owners in the greater Southern California who I got to know very well and have kept in touch with over the years as we would go to shows almost every weekend. I felt that I had such a great experience with my first time doing dog shows and I was so glad Levi was the one I started with. After showing Levi, I decided that I wanted to search for my next show dog.
I imported Romeo from Finland in August 2011. With some dog show experience under my belt with Levi, I focused on training Romeo for dog shows at an early age. Just like Levi, Romeo entered the scene with a bang, winning Best of Breed from the puppy class and beating existing champions. Romeo had an amazing show career, beating some top winning dogs who were shown by professional handlers and eventually inched his way to becoming the #1 German Pinscher in 2012.
After Romeo, I decided to take a break from dog shows to focus on my career and personal life. I remained involved with the breed, holding various positions with the German Pinscher Club of America (GPCA).
In 2018, I decided to leave L.A. and moved to Las Vegas. After settling in, I decided to look into becoming a breeder and got my first female German Pinscher, Juliet, in October 2021. At the same time though, an opportunity came up with my employer which brought me across the country to the beautiful state of Florida, resulting in putting my breeding plans on hold.
Living in Florida was an awesome experience and I had so much fun with Romeo and Juliet playing tourist, while exploring all of what sunshine state had to offer. After two years, it was time to go back to Vegas, where I could resume my plans.
Vegas is home now and I’m very excited to get back into doing dog activities with a dog that I bred on my own.
